DHIS 2
What is it?

DHIS 2 is a comprehensive management system designed for the collection, review, analysis and sharing of diverse data. It facilitates data entry from any location, allowing for efficient analysis and visualization. It is essential to improve planning and decision-making in the health sector, optimizing the impact of various projects. Originally developed for environments with limited telecommunications access, DHIS 2 has proven crucial during the COVID-19 pandemic, supporting surveillance and execution of national plans. Its ability to adapt to different scenarios and its widespread use in more than 100 countries make it a key tool for information management in health and other sectors such as drinking water, logistics and agriculture.

What problems does it solve?

DHIS2 addresses the critical need for a versatile and scalable health information system. The challenge lies in capturing, validating, analyzing and transforming fragmented health data from various sources, often from low-resource settings with poor access to telecommunications and the Internet, into actionable knowledge.

How does the tool work?
