Hydro BID
What is it?

Hydro BID is a comprehensive system that models hydrology and water resource management in Latin America and the Caribbean, allowing institutions to evaluate the impacts of climate, demographic and land use changes on water availability and quality. Based on an extensive database of more than 230,000 river basins, Hydro BID is an essential tool for the design of adaptation strategies and projects, offering accurate predictions and detailed data for effective decision making.

What problems does it solve?

Hydro BID addresses complex water resource management in the face of environmental and anthropogenic changes, providing a detailed hydrological model that facilitates sustainable planning and strategic adaptation in the region.

How does the tool work?

Integration with QGIS for geographical information system capabilities. Specialized modules for hydrological analysis and data management. Tools for efficient water resource planning and management. Capabilities for handling complex hydrological data sets. Support for sustainable water resource management decisions.

Open standards

Built primarily in BatchFile and designed as a plugin for QGIS. Compatible with open-source standards and focused on hydrological data analysis. Enables data integration in GIS environments with an intuitive interface. Promotes accessibility and collaboration within open platforms.
