iHRIS is a solution developed by IntraHealth International, designed to optimize data management for healthcare personnel. This tool allows users to capture, maintain and use essential information for the planning, regulation and training of health teams, ensuring efficient administration of human resources in the sector. Facing the shortage of health personnel, iHRIS has become a key ally for countries seeking to improve their capacity to respond to health demands. Its implementation in more than 30 countries has proven to be effective in the organization and analysis of health personnel data, contributing significantly to the optimization of health services. Version 5.0 of iHRIS introduces a renewed interface, promoting more agile and effective personnel management in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Managing healthcare workforce data often involves navigating complex, diverse, and voluminous data sets. Traditional systems struggle with interoperability, scalability, and user accessibility, hindering effective data utilization. The need for a standardized yet flexible platform to efficiently handle this data, meet global health standards, and provide actionable insights is critical. These challenges require a solution that not only simplifies data management and analysis, but also ensures compatibility with evolving global health informatics standards.
iHRIS has been developed into multiple, interoperable applications to meet the needs of a variety of stakeholders and support health workers throughout their life cycle: iHRIS Manage allows tracking and management of health workers actively engaged in service delivery. iHRIS Qualify enables professional councils and associations to register, license, and regulate health workers to support increased quality of care. iHRIS Plan projects the likely changes in the health workforce under different scenarios and compares them with projected needs. iHRIS Retain, developed in collaboration with the World Health Organization, helps countries plan and cost recruitment and retention interventions. iHRIS Train assists in tracking and managing health worker preservice education pipelines and in-service training. Data Management: iHRIS enables the collection, storage, and management of extensive health workforce data, supporting a range of information from personnel details to professional qualifications. Customizable Interface: The system offers a customizable user interface, allowing organizations to tailor the application to meet their specific data management needs and workflows. Integration with FHIR Server: iHRIS integrates with a FHIR compliant server, ensuring standardized data exchange and interoperability with other health information systems. Data Analysis and Reporting: The platform facilitates data analysis and generates reports, providing valuable insights into workforce trends and aiding in decision-making processes.
Built with VueJS: leverages this JavaScript framework to provide a dynamic and responsive user interface. Developed on NodeJS: uses this runtime environment to ensure a scalable and efficient backend. Facilitates integration: connects with FHIR servers for standardized and interoperable data exchange. Adopts containerization: incorporates Docker to simplify deployment and maintain consistency. Allows customization: its flexible architecture supports modification and extension of functionalities based on specific needs.
