mHero is an SMS communication platform that connects health ministries with healthcare workers. It facilitates the integration of various communication technologies, allowing the exchange of vital information between health personnel and their support systems. It works on any device that supports SMS, making it ideal for areas with limited connectivity. It allows healthcare professionals to communicate effectively, gather information and provide support.
mHero is crucial for connecting health professionals in uncertain contexts, solving emerging communication problems and maintaining the flow of vital health information, procedures, public policies and documentation.
Data Interoperability: Facilitates the exchange of healthcare data between different systems using FHIR standards. Workflow Management: Manages and initiates workflows to streamline healthcare operations and communications. System Integration: Integrates with Point of Service systems (iHRIS, DHIS2, OpenMRS) and communication channels (RapidPro). Contact Synchronization: Syncs contacts and contact groups across healthcare and communication platforms. Secure Data Exchange: Ensures secure data handling and exchange through OpenHIM mediator integration. Data Visualization Support: Caches FHIR data into Elasticsearch, enabling advanced data visualization and analysis.
Built with Node.js: uses Node.js for server-side programming, ensuring efficient performance. Service orchestration: employs Docker Compose to effectively manage containers. Workflow automation: integrates GitHub Actions to facilitate continuous integration and deployment. Adopts open principles: promotes interoperability and the use of open-source technologies.
