Open Budget GCBA is a web platform that transforms complex budget data of the City of Buenos Aires into clear and understandable visualizations. Using CSV files, it creates static views that make it easy to analyze and understand how public resources are distributed and used. GCBA Open Budget is a reflection of this commitment, offering a key tool to improve controls and raise the level of public discussion about the use of state funds.
The problem that GCBA Open Budget addresses is the lack of accessible and understandable budget information for citizens. Budget documents are often complex and not readily available in a format that ordinary citizens can understand. This opacity can hinder citizen participation in the budget process and generate a lack of trust in the government's financial decisions. Open Budget GCBA seeks to solve this problem by making budget information transparent and accessible to the public.
