U-report is a UNICEF digital platform that functions as a social messaging tool, providing a space for young people around the world to participate in social dialogues and share their opinions. It is present in 68 countries and seeks to expand its reach. Developed to empower young people by allowing them to actively participate in data collection and decision-making, U-report analyzes responses in real time and presents the results publicly, facilitating the implementation of effective solutions to local and global problems.
U-report allows young people to express and share their concerns and opinions, contributing to informed decision-making and the development of public policies based on real and current data on the problems that affect them.
Allows young people to voice their opinions through surveys and questionnaires. Analyzes responses in real-time for immediate insight into community issues. Displays data on a public dashboard for transparency and accessibility. Facilitates informed decision-making by local and national authorities. Enhances youth participation in societal issues, fostering a sense of empowerment.
Built with Python: leverages this versatile language for data processing and back-end development. Uses the Django web framework to efficiently manage web application components. Integrates PostgreSQL as a database system to robustly and scalably manage and store data. Manages dependencies with Poetry, simplifying package installation and version control. Deploys Docker to containerize the application, ensuring consistent deployment across various computing environments.
