Code for Development Open-Source Solutions Join our Community Open-Source Learning

We invite you to share your code and make a valuable contribution to the advancement of public management practices in Latin America and the Caribbean. 

We are looking for tools such as web and mobile applications, algorithms, and APIs that can support social and economic development at different scales and contexts.  

Tools nominated through the form below will be evaluated and considered for inclusion in the Code for Development repository.  If you have questions or seek additional guidance, please contact us at [email protected].

Share your Code

In the Guide for Publishing Digital Tools, you'll find best practices for documenting, licensing, and evaluating the quality of your code. We encourage you to consult the guide as you prepare to submit your tool for nomination. 

Open-Source License

Add an open-source license and legally enable the conditions for reuse of your digital tool.

Quality Assessment

Follow best practices, conduct an assessment, and make the necessary improvements to ensure your digital tool has the technical quality standards for easy maintenance and reusability

Documentation Assessment

Clearly explain to other developers the purpose of the tool, how it works, and the steps required to reuse or adapt it.

General Description

Create the tool’s general description for Code for Development’s repository and make it easy for public managers to understand if the tool can be useful for them.
